Sprague Mansion, built in 1790, was the home to William Sprague. He was a very rich industrialist and founder of the A&W Sprague company. His nephew, a Union war hero, served his state in both the Senate and the Governor’s mansion. This mansion is now a museum operated by the Cranston Historical Society.
