A large 120-acre family farm in Middletown, Simmons Organic Farm produces a diverse range of heirloom and conventional foods for farmer’s markets and community-supported agricultural initiatives throughout the greater Rhode Island area.
Since 2000, Brian and Karla Simmons have been in charge of running the farm, which produces its own organic eggs, grass-fed beef, pastured pork and other specialty food items.
The farm’s chapter of on-site cheese production began in 2011 with the construction of a new barn facility. Throughout the week, guests are welcome to tour the farmstead and experience a variety of its offerings, such as cheese made from goat and cow milk.
